Ripon Road, Harrogate
Our first foray into North Yorkshire proved to be a successful venture.
This semi-detached property on the edge of Harrogate’s prestigious Duchy Estate had seen better days. An historic conversion had already been carried out in the mid-1980’s into 5 separate apartments but had since fallen into disrepair.
To bring the property into the 21st Century our plans were to convert the whole property into 4 larger apartments, one per floor plate with all mod-cons included. Car parking would be essential in Harrogate so the remit was to make sure car parking would be provided.
The finished product was a beautifully finished building restored to it’s former glory in this attractive conservation area but inclusive of the demands of modern living. Modern features included under-floor heating, sliding sash uPVC windows, fully fitted kitchens with granite worktops and frosted glass kitchen doors, central heating, built-in acoustic deadening measures whilst traditional features such as large skirting boards, high ceilings, coloured glass and original timber balustrades were retained.
Two block paved car parking bays per apartment were provided behind an electronic sliding gate as well as one visitor space bordered by well maintained gardens giving a pleasant and homely feel to the outside space.
Sales followed swiftly on completion as buyers raced to secure their choice of apartment.
